Welcome to Pennine Intensive Driving
Pennine-Intensive-Driving pride ourselves in offering a service which is professional, reliable, and friendly. We specialise in one and two week intensive driving courses (sometimes referred to as crash courses or quick pass courses) You learn for 6 hours each day with the same instructor on a
one-to-one basis.
(There is NO car sharing with Pennine) |
 |
We also offer a 'guaranteed pass course’, which means we will stay with you, regardless of how many tests you take to pass, and no further charge will be made to you AT ALL.
We advise you on how many days tuition you will need based on how much experience you have. For example, we suggest that someone with no experience at all would benefit most from a course lasting at least 36 hours (6 days), but 42 or 48 hours gives you a more realistic chance of passing your test at the first attempt.
A usual day begins at 8.00 am and ends at 2.30 pm with a half-hour break at 11.00am. However, times can be negotiated with your instructor.
We do our best to book a practical driving test to coincide with the final day of your course; (Note; this may not always be possible and you may have to wait a few days before you can take your test)
Practical tests are usually booked at a centre fairly close to where you live, but if you are prepared to travel (within reason) this may give us a better chance of acquiring an early test. In any event, you will be consulted about your test requirements and a test date or centre will not simply be thrust upon you.
|
All our driving instructors are fully qualified to DSA standards.
You will not find yourself being taught by
someone who is only partly qualified
(which
often happens with some driving schools). A
fully-qualified instructor always displays a
GREEN badge in his windscreen. |
 |
Because your instructor spends all week with you only, it is easier for him/her to assess you, monitor your progress and be aware of any particular weaknesses. |
 |
All our instructional vehicles are modern, easy to manoeuvre, and fitted with dual controls so you can relax during your driving lesson, safe in the knowledge that your instructor is well-equipped to help you out if you are getting into difficulties. |
|
At the end of your intensive driving course you should be ready to have an excellent chance of passing your driving test. If, however you were to fail, we offer retest courses, usually 6 or 12 hours in duration.
